Job Details Job Location: Franklin Park, IL 60131 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $31.25 - $36.00 Hourly Job Shift: First Shift The AV & Lighting Designer designs, details and programs for stage, events, trade show and architectural spaces. You’ll design for both permanent installations and live event lighting systems. Responsibilities: Designs, details and program lighting systems Maintain and troubleshoot lighting Collaborate with Sales Engineering to create visual products Qualifications Experience with DMX lighting and controllers Knowledge of stage/event rigging and safety practices Creative eye for lighting design and effects Experience with video wall systems, projection mapping, or audio integration Basic knowledge of control systems (e.g., MA Lighting, ETC, Chamsys, or Hog) Familiarity with CAD-based lighting visualization tools like Capture, WYSIWYG, or Vectorworks Spotlight Experience in show control or timecode synchronization Skilled in spatial visualization and reverse engineering Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a collaborative team Ability to manage changing priorities, adjust work schedules while maintaining project deliverables and assuring all deadlines are met Strong written and verbal communication skills for all levels within the organization Willingness to be hands-on for continued learning and development of production ready deliverables Able to work overtime as required to meet the demands of or our clients Broad knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes Ability to travel for event setup and support (as needed)
