Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient AV & Sound Technician to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual and sound equipment for corporate events, conferences, presentations, and multimedia productions. You will work collaboratively with event coordinators, presenters, and production teams to ensure seamless technical execution and deliver high-quality audio and visual experiences. Your organized approach and analytical mindset will be essential in troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing equipment performance in fast-paced environments. Set up, configure, and test audiovisual equipment including projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, and lighting rigs prior to events and presentations Operate audio mixing consoles and sound reinforcement systems during live events, ensuring optimal sound quality and appropriate volume levels Manage video playback, streaming, and projection systems, including troubleshooting technical issues in real-time Perform cable management, signal routing, and equipment connections while maintaining organized and safe work environments Monitor and adjust audio and visual levels throughout events to maintain professional quality standards Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on audiovisual equipment to ensure reliability and longevity Collaborate with event coordinators, presenters, and production teams to understand technical requirements and deliver customized solutions Document equipment specifications, technical setups, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment and supplies, reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards when handling and operating technical equipment Qualifications Proven experience operating and troubleshooting audiovisual and sound equipment in professional settings Proficiency with audio mixing consoles, microphone systems, and sound reinforcement technology Strong knowledge of video projection systems, display technologies, and streaming platforms Solid understanding of signal flow, audio levels, impedance, and basic acoustics principles Experience with equipment setup, cable management, and technical system integration Ability to analyze technical problems and implement efficient solutions under pressure Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing complex technical setups Familiarity with lighting control systems and basic lighting operation Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for handling professional audiovisual equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules Preferred: Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Dante, Qsc, or similar audio/video systems) Preferred: Experience with live event production, corporate conferences, or multimedia presentations Preferred: Knowledge of streaming software and virtual event platforms Additional Information What We Offer • Opportunity to start a career in luxury hospitality Engineering Department. • Professional training and development • Exposure to high-profile clients, events, and international standards • Career growth opportunities within the hotel or hotel group Job-Category: Engineering & Maintenance Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
