What You’ll Do: The AV Tech will assist the IT Team with the setup, installation, and maintenance of AV equipment and systems. They will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure that all events and meetings are equipped with the necessary AV equipment and that all equipment is functioning properly. Assist the IT Manager with equipment setup and installation for events and meetings Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment as needed Assist with the maintenance of AV equipment and systems Ensure that all AV equipment is properly labeled, stored, and documented Provide technical support for AV equipment and systems during events and meetings Stay up-to-date on new AV technology and equipment Hours: 30-40 hours/week Location: Chapel Hill office and Durham venues for teacher orientations, including three weeks in Washington DC. Requirements Experience You Bring: Knowledge of AV equipment and systems Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with video conferencing software and hardware is a plus Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be available for all the OT weeks and be able to travel to VA for OT. About You: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Audio Visual Technology or a related field Strong problem-solving skills.
