BACKGROUND:

Our client seeks an Audiovisual technician who will be responsible to provide technical support for all audio/videoconferencing systems at various offices throughout the 5 NYC Boroughs.
This individual will also be responsible for system design and project coordination for implementation of new and updated technologies, coaching staff in the effective use of these technologies which includes, but not limited to videoconferencing, distance learning and audio systems.

VENDOR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Support Childstat at Training Center and field offices.
  • Install and troubleshoot equipment for Childstat.
  • Perform site surveys and diagnose problems for moves, adds, changes and repairs.
  • Prepare technical requirements for new systems and system upgrades.
  • Oversee the installation and implementation of new videoconferencing systems and room upgrades.
  • Review user requirements develop detailed project plans for new system implementation, and attend meetings as requested.
  • Interface with Telecommunication vendors to resolve issues and for upgrades.
  • Direct staff in basic system operation and troubleshooting of issues at remote locations.
  • Coordinate use of videoconference infrastructure to connect multiple parties to video conferences and supervise the installation and troubleshooting of endpoints.
  • Coordinate and liaise with staff and Desktop support technicians to ensure all videoconference requests are met.
  • Consult with staff in developing instructional and operational materials.
  • Provide end user technical training on new and existing systems.
  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing to management.
  • Required to perform field work at any office location within the five boroughs of NYC.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working in high level confidential settings
  • Ability to Multitask, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or within a group to resolve issues
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office
  • Hand-on operation and troubleshooting knowledge of Cisco, Tandberg and Polycom videoconferencing endpoints and Multipoint Control Units (MCU)
  • Experience in streaming systems such as Qumu, Crestron and AMX
  • Experience in Public Address systems
  • Experience in Recording systems such as Shure, Lectrosonics Wireless Microphones
    Job Type: Contract
    Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 per week
