AV SERVICE TECHNICIAN – VISION INTEGRATED SYSTEMS

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced AV Service Technician with strong technical expertise and exceptional client-facing skills. This role goes beyond basic installation, you’ll be configuring, troubleshooting, and servicing advanced AV systems while working directly with clients. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who can represent VIS on-site with professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an AV technician or service technician.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, DSP configuration, video conferencing, and IP-based AV systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VLAN, IP addressing, signal flow).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working directly with clients in a professional, approachable manner.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications (CTS, Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, etc.) a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screen.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors/outdoors, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and service professional AV systems.
  • Work with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, audio DSPs, video conferencing systems, and USB signal flow.
  • Configure and troubleshoot networking, VLANs, and IP addressing for AV systems.
  • Perform cable terminations, system testing, and troubleshooting using electronic equipment.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and wiring diagrams to execute installations.
  • Lead or support onsite project teams while maintaining clear communication with clients, project managers, and team members.
  • Provide hands-on support for system commissioning and client training when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with VIS safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site.
