Description

As a Warehouse Associate at The Werd Company, you’ll be at the center of the action with The Werd Company’s dynamic and growing Audiovisual team in Austin, TX. You will help make projects a reality by helping with many behind the scenes tasks like organizing gear for various events and installations, transporting equipment between site and various warehouses and repairing various pieces of equipment. The Warehouse Associate thrives in a rapidly evolving environment and is exceptionally flexible, able to carry out a broad scope of responsibilities.

PERSONALITY AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dependable, respectful and reliable.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly through the course of the day without assistance; and maneuver and lift up to 225 lbs. with assistance.
  • Continuous walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to identify items on all paperwork and software including, but not limited to: customer orders and labels, packing lists.
  • Basic computer skills including Google suite and possesses the ability to learn rental management software (Current RMS).
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment while upholding the company’s core values.
  • Always uses safety and caution when working.
  • Detail oriented personality - pays attention to the small things.
  • Ability to maintain positive morale with associates.
  • Can identify inefficiencies, and make suggestions on how to improve the organization and workflow.
  • Is able to balance multiple tasks while maintaining order and organization.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Check in and out equipment and tools using existing processes and software.
  • Assist the warehouse manager in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
  • Basic equipment repair including soldering and module replacement.
  • Testing and cleaning equipment before and after events / projects to maintain quality control.
  • Deliver and pick up various pieces of equipment using company vehicles and procedures.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Warehouse Manager and other relevant personnel to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Maintain consistent hours in warehouse while having the flexibility to work odd hours and days as required by project schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
