Description
Company Description Lead, Inspire, and Make an Impact as Our Availability Manager! At The Warehouse, we're passionate about helping Kiwis live better every day. Behind every great shopping experience is a well-organised, well-stocked store....and that's where our Availability Team comes in. We're looking for an energetic and people-focused Availability Manager to lead our Nightfill team and ensure our store is ready to welcome customers each day. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, creating high-performing teams, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Job Description Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday 12.30pm to 10pm 45 hours a week Please only apply if you can work all the days and hours of this role. As Availability Manager, you'll lead, coach, and motivate your team to deliver great results while creating a positive, safe, and supportive workplace. You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, celebrating success, and helping your team perform at their best. This role combines strong people leadership with effective planning and organisation. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing priorities, managing tight timeframes, and keeping your team focused on delivering high standards. Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills will be key to your success. Qualifications What we're looking for: Proven management experience in retail – You've led a team before and know how to run a shift, manage staff, and keep operations moving (Ideally 2+ years of mangement experience in a retail environment) Track record of developing and motivating people – You can hire, train, and get the best out of your team. You've done it, and it shows in results Strong operational skills under pressure – You can prioritise ruthlessly, make fast decisions, and execute in a chaotic retail environment without losing your grip Clear communication, top to bottom – You can brief your team and handle difficult conversations Retail or stock/replenishment background is required – You understand the mechanics of the business: merchandising, stock movement, why inventory matters, how a stockroom works. We need someone who's lived it, not learned it in theory Additional Information Why join us? As part of The Warehouse Group, you'll be joining New Zealand's largest retailer, with over 11,000 team members working together to make a difference in communities across the country. In return for your hard work and leadership, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, team member discounts across our brands, a paid day off on your birthday, and opportunities to grow your career within a business that values its people. If you're ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and make a real impact through people, planning, and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you. Contract Type: Permanent
