Description

We are looking for a creative, solution-oriented and result driven Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team at cosine in Sassenheim, The Netherlands. cosine is known for over 25 years for its innovative solutions in measuring systems for space and planetary research. Being part of an R&D organisation means that you will be working on several R&D projects at one time, interface with our customers and come up with innovative solutions and engineering designs.
As Mechanical (Design & Verification) Engineer, you will engage in design and analysis processes, using the state of the art technologies and software. The ideal candidate will have experience with product design, ushering mechanical solutions from research and design for assembly, testing and implementation. Since most of our projects are space oriented, you produce concepts to the highest quality standards on time and in budget with safety as leading principle.
cosine designs and builds optical, electronic, mechanical, and software-driven systems that deliver precision, reliability, and long-term value. From satellites that monitor climate change to tools that explore other planets, our work powers missions that expand scientific discovery and strengthen infrastructure resilience.
We also believe in long-term responsibility. Our systems are built with longevity and adaptability. Knowledge is shared purposefully. Partnerships are built on trust. Whether we’re scaling a prototype to full production or reapplying solutions across markets, cosine works with intent and with vision.
You will collaborate with best-in-class scientists, engineers, and problem-solvers across disciplines, building instruments that help explore space, understand Earth, and unlock new knowledge. We don’t just offer jobs; we cultivate careers where specialists evolve into explorers. Every system you touch contributes to missions that expand human understanding, and every project develops capabilities you’ll carry throughout your career.
