Description
Associate – Aviation Consulting (UK/Spain)

Have you ever wondered…

  • How will aviation meet its bold sustainability goals?
  • What drives the value of aviation assets for investors?
  • How can airlines transform operations to boost performance?
  • What role does aviation play in sustainable tourism growth?
  • How do policy shifts reshape global aviation demand?

.. then we have a role for you!
ICF’s aviation practice is one of the world’s leading specialist aviation consulting teams, providing objective, independent commercial, financial, technical, and regulatory guidance across all aviation sectors globally. We deliver independent, data-driven insights across commercial, financial, technical, and regulatory domains—helping clients navigate key strategic challenges currently shaping the aviation industry.

WHY JOIN US?

As an Associate, you’ll work alongside a global team of experts across our London, Delhi, US, and Spain offices. You’ll gain hands-on experience across diverse service lines and geographies, building a strong foundation in aviation before choosing your area of specialism. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of clients—from airport operators and airlines to government agencies and investors—on high-impact projects such as:

  • Financial modelling and due diligence for airport assets and aircraft valuations
  • Supporting aviation decarbonization through Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and policy implementation (e.g., Refuel EU, EU Taxonomy)
  • Helping airlines and airports grow networks, enter new markets, and refine route strategies

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking smart, energetic, and curious individuals who thrive on solving complex problems. If you’re passionate about aviation and ready to make a difference, this could be the perfect fit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree from a reputable institution, with subjects with a quantitative aspect such as engineering or economics often found to be beneficial
  • 1+ years of experience in aviation, finance, or consulting, ideally in roles involving strategic planning, commercial analysis, or operational performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including familiarity with quantitative methods and data interpretation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple cultures and time zones
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or aviation-specific datasets is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel or work onsite with clients as required
  • Additional languages—especially Spanish—is considered a plus
This position is available in either our London or Madrid office.
