The mission of Port of Seattle’s High School Internship Program is to build diverse talent pathways into Port of Seattle careers. As a high school intern, you will learn about Port industries and develop the competencies of our future workforce, including project management, public speaking, professional networking, and team leadership. You will work with a team to complete a project and will give a final presentation to internal and external stakeholders. Aviation interns will assist with two projects to support the Airport Innovation team: Designing solutions to raise books for SEA’s little free libraries. Collecting and reporting data on SEA passenger escalator usage. You will participate in a wide range of career exploratory activities, such as: Learning about workplace expectations. Meeting with mentors for personal and professional coaching. Participating in on-site and behind-the-scenes tours of Port facilities. Developing technology skills and fluency with Microsoft Office products. Learning about Port operations through research and interviewing employees. Responsibilities

As an intern, you will assist with projects supporting the Airport Innovation team, including designing solutions for little free libraries and collecting data on escalator usage. You will also participate in career exploratory activities and give a final presentation to stakeholders.
