Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) Technician – Subject Matter Expert Company: The Boeing Company Boeing is seeking a skilled and motivated Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) Technician – Subject Matter Expert to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position will provide critical support for ALSS requirements across multiple military programs, including the F-15, F/A-18, and other current and future platforms. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ALSS technician with military, FAA, or equivalent certification and experience, capable of ensuring the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and operational readiness. Position Responsibilities: Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of aviation life support equipment, including flight suits, helmets, oxygen systems, ejection seats, and survival gear Support flight operations by ensuring all ALSS equipment meets regulatory and program-specific requirements Coordinate with flight crews, maintenance teams, and program managers to maintain ALSS readiness and compliance Document and report equipment status, discrepancies, and maintenance actions in accordance with Boeing and military standards Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and flight personnel on ALSS procedures and safety protocols Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ALSS technical orders, manuals, and regulatory guidance Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ALSS program effectiveness and safety Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Qualified Aviation Life Support Systems Technician through a U.S. military service, FAA certification, or an equivalent recognized program Experience supporting military aviation life support programs, preferably with F-15, F/A-18, or similar platforms Strong understanding of military and FAA aviation safety standards, technical orders, and maintenance procedures Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Proficient in using maintenance tracking systems and standard office software (e.g., MS Office) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Prior experience working in a military or defense contractor environment Familiarity with multiple aircraft types and associated ALSS equipment Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams including pilots, maintenance personnel, and management Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
