Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a 12-month fixed term contract to provide Aviation Security Training at Cork Airport.
This is an opportunity for an ASU Team Member to become an AVSEC instructor and develop key skills which will include the delivery of training, assisting with AVSEC briefings and support, helping design, develop and deliver training for the business as outlined below.
The successful candidate will take up ASU duties to assist the operation as required in addition to their training role.

Responsibilities

  • On-site Non AVSEC Briefings.
  • Equipment Familiarisation Training.
  • Operation & Systems Training.
  • SMS Logins for ASU.
  • CBT machines (checked, readily accessible).
  • In-lane x-ray coaching.
  • X-ray enhancements (how to maximise benefits).
  • Mentoring Team Members.
  • Support the Sergeant with compliance performance.
  • Briefing records to be submitted and maintained.
  • Give operational support to the passenger screening operation.
  • Gain AVSEC Instructor status.
  • Qualifications
  • Performance at or above the required standard in your current role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Training and / or presentation experience, an advantage.
  • Open to learning and development opportunities.
  • Display the values and behaviours.
  • Have or achieve to become an AVSEC Instructor Qualification.
  • Must attain or hold a QQI Level 6 on instruction.
