REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
· Reports directly to the Stores & Purchasing Manager
· Works with Stores colleagues in Yellowknife and Springbank bases to maintain stores efficiency in the day-to-day operations and has an active role within these duties.
· Works in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance, Production Manager, Fleet Managers, Finance, Maintenance, Pilots, Procurement, Engineers and other internal/external bases/department
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Stores Clerk will work with the Stores & Purchasing Manager and the Fleet Manager in the functions of the stores department. He/she will be required to monitor inventory, control and safeguard parts, supplies, and documents used in the daily operations of the company, including entry of parts into computer inventory system ensuring that the computer inventory of all on hand materials is kept accurate.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that communication and logistical systems within the system and the company is accurate and up to date, as well as ensuring all parts are received and issued in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of the company.
Requirement: At least 6 months experience in Aviation.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Will complete routine daily ordering of parts, when instructed, for the fleets at all sites and bases.
· Will communicate issues in ordering and pricing conflicts with Stores & Purchasing Manager
· Will follow up on orders in a timely manner and notify Stores & Purchasing Manager of issues.
· Ensure tracking of orders are being recorded.
· Shall ensure that all parts being received or shipped are in compliance with the company Policy and Procedures manual.
· Ensure that shipping and receiving of parts are being done in a timely manner.
· Ensure that all parts are safely stored in the appropriate bin locations.
· Ensuring that appropriate filing system is in place and up to date for all paperwork and reports pertaining to the Stores department.
· Responsible for maintaining accurate records, of all goods shipped, received and stored.
· Ensures storage of stock in correct locations.
· Assists in planning storage space utilization, storage aid requirements.
· Communicate delays in shipping or receiving with Manager and Fleet Managers
· Picking of Parts being issued to all engineers and /or assigned to the appropriate aircraft.
· Prepare all shipments and ensure that packaging of these items are properly packed.
· Prepare all shipments ensuring that these items are in compliance with the Dangerous Goods regulations.
· Ensure all parts shipped and received are captured within the WinAir system and update information and tracking information.
· Afterhours or work on weekends maybe required from time to time*
· Assist with Operational requirements as and when requested in a timely manner*
· Performs all duties with a level of interpersonal skills appropriate to the position.
· Maintains a safe, clean, orderly, clutter-free workplace.
· Maintains the work area to ensure it is safe and orderly.
· Will work well with colleagues and supports the team.
· Will be safety focused.
· Other duties may be assigned from time to time by supervisor
*Agreed afterhours, weekend work, and any overtime required to complete Operational requirements may be renumerated, or time off given in lieu.
