Qualifications and Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or associate degree in welding technology preferred. * Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a welder in an aviation or aerospace environment. * AWS Certified Welder (e.g., D1.1 Structural Welding Code) or equivalent certification; aviation-specific certifications (e.g., NAS 410) a plus. * Proficiency in reading technical drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Knowledge of aircraft materials, heat-affected zones, and non-destructive testing integration. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). * Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Preferred Skills: * Experience with military aircraft (e.g., F-18, C-130) or rotorcraft. * Familiarity with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and lean manufacturing principles. * Strong safety mindset with OSHA 10-hour certification.
