AVIONIC SYSTEM ENGINEER:

TXT E-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is looking for a System Engineer in the avionics field to join the Aerospace & Aviation team.
The candidate will be involved in cross-disciplinary engineering activities related to the management of obsolescence and the re-engineering of avionics subsystems on 4.5th generation fixed-wing platforms.
The role is ideal for candidates with a multidisciplinary engineering background—spanning electronics, software, and mechanics—who wish to develop a comprehensive understanding of how a real avionics system works, while actively contributing to its evolution.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Basic knowledge of digital/analog electronics and/or embedded software (C/C++, real-time systems);
Ability to analyze technical specifications (schematics, block diagrams), system requirements, and operational constraints;
Ability to write technical documentation in regulated contexts and apply a systems engineering approach.

OPTIONAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Familiarity with verification/testing principles and environmental tests (vibrations, shock, EMI, extreme temperatures, corrosion);
Any laboratory experience, thesis, or projects on interdisciplinary topics (embedded systems, avionics, firmware, testing, integrated HW/SW/MECH design);
Experience or knowledge in the field of materials, physical properties, and mechanical integration;
Knowledge of system architecture fundamentals and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet).
Education required: Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Analyze and evaluate hardware and software obsolescence situations on avionics devices (e.g., cockpit, power generators), integrating logistical and production aspects (e.g., sole suppliers, critical parts, VLLTI components);
Propose alternative technical solutions by preparing formal engineering documentation (design changes, equivalent replacements, retrofits);
Support the development, validation, and qualification of the proposed solutions according to the technical and regulatory requirements of the avionics domain;
Participate in functional, environmental, and integration tests in collaboration with specialist teams (HW/SW/mechanical);
Collaborate with designers and domain specialists to ensure consistent integration of subsystems into the overall avionics system (design reviews);
Contribute to the production of technical documentation and the management of the product lifecycle.
