JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Avionics Manager, the Avionics Completion Engineer will be responsible for the successful implementation of avionics and electrical systems, technical solutions and aircraft completions.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Avionics and electrical installations and aircraft completions.
  • Graduate of an approved Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Avionics course and/or
  • Hold a valid AME license Category E.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Airport Pass (RAIC).
  • Mechanical aptitude, Installation experience and ability to work safely with basic hand tools.
  • Understand technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to travel when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic; must possess a high degree of cultural awareness respect, and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as part of a team and in support of other departments.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $95,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Performing installations of avionics equipment and systems on aircraft in accordance with approved data, following the safety standards set out in AC43.13 and also maintaining the high quality standards.
  • Report to various Project Managers, and directly to the Avionics Manager on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with company and Transport Canada Regulations and quality standards.
  • Accurate completion of all paperwork in accordance with published procedures, manuals and documentation.
  • Maintain the work area in a neat and tidy condition.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft discrepancies in compliance with manufacturer’s standards to expedite return to flight status.
  • Providing technical support and advice to Customer Support, Sales and Engineering.
  • Program, configure and test various products.
  • Attend training courses as directed by the company to ensure knowledge and skills are current.
  • Mentor apprentices and less experienced colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and operation of a TCCA AMO.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory/professional standards and company policies.
