    This is a full time based out of our Loughborough, UK office. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of engineering work by 5+ Electrical engineers to shepherd the team through development, test, documentation, and delivery of their products.
  • Become the linkage between multi-disciplined teams as well as external suppliers across various geographical locations.
  • Plan and track engineering tasks from requirements definition through test and delivery, communicate up status of team products.
  • Ensure that the Avionics department standards and best practices are employed by the team to quickly deliver high quality products that meet their requirements. Help refine standards and practices based on lessons learned.
  • Provide tools and resources needed by the team to perform their work.
  • Participate in supporting technical tasks including design reviews, troubleshooting, and surge engineering effort when needed.
  • Help teammates develop their skills and careers in alignment with their interests and the company’s.
  • Perform performance evaluations for reporting teammates as well as regular one-on-ones.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:

  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering management experience of teams of 5 or more.
  • 10+ years of experience in new electronics product development, test, and flight in aerospace or high reliability applications.
  • Expertise and passion for full product ownership and delivery to customers with diligence.
  • Expertise in power, digital, and analog circuit design, simulation, and analysis, and testing.
  • Expertise in high reliability electronics development and test practices.
