Avionics Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Own the end-to-end development of avionics hardware systems - requirements, architecture, design, verification, and production support.
  • Collaborate with system engineering to define and clarify hardware requirements.
  • Lead and contribute to cross-disciplinary technical discussions (systems, software, mechanical, etc.)
  • Design and develop mixed-signal electronic systems: component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and production documentation.
  • Develop power electronics (SMPS, load switches, protection circuits) and precision analog front-end with a goal for high reliability and fault tolerance in safety-critical environments.
  • Validate hardware in the lab: bring-up, debug, integration, and qualification testing.
  • Contribute to system integration efforts, ensuring seamless hardware-software and inter-component interaction.
  • Take technical and operational ownership for the avionics products.

Your Qualifications

  • A Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience (3-5 Years) in aerospace/space sector or high reliability electronics and motivation to participate in the NEW Space
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout[OCY1] (Altium preferred).
  • Strong background in mixed-signal design and signal integrity principles, from concept through production.
  • Solid experience with MCUs, FPGAs, and their supporting ecosystems.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI and RS422 are highly advantages
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, loads, Power supplies) and simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, etc.).
  • You’re disciplined with documentation and understand the value of configuration control, traceability, and design reviews.
  • You thrive in an environment where autonomy, accountability, and high standards are expected.
  • Excel at managing tight deadlines and adapting to evolving priorities in a flexible work environment.
  • Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • Bonus: Experience/participation with the full electronics product life-cycle, from conceptual design through production
  • Bonus: Experience with electromechanical systems, BLDC drivers, or embedded power electronics.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with wiring harness design and electrical interfaces
  • Bonus: Working knowledge of relevant environmental tests and qualification standards (e.g., ECSS, MIL-STD-810, DO-160).
