SUMMARY:

In this role the Avionics Integration Engineer will design, test and participate in the airworthiness certification of aftermarket avionics systems integrations. The Avionics Integration Engineer will be an integral part of a team, working closely with other design disciplines, customers, subcontractors, and Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) to ensure design requirements are fully defined and airworthiness compliance can be achieved.
The Avionics Integration Engineer will participate in FAA / Foreign CAA STC certification, aircraft return to service, and complete technical reviews of other design disciplines documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-7 years of avionics systems integration design, installation and testing experience preferably in the general or corporate aviation market.
  • Avionics integration experience with glass-panel EFIS with synthetic vision, navigation, weather radar, terrain awareness systems, and more. These upgrades are tailored to reduce pilot workload while enhancing mission performance and safety in all conditions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 3 years of directly related experience, or in lieu of a degree, 7 years of directly related work experience.
  • Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 Aircraft Certification Requirements. Experience with 14 CFR Part 23, 25, 27, or 29 aircraft certification
  • Must be proficient using a Computer Aided Design solutions such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, SOLIDWORKS.
