THE FUTURE OF AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE STARTS HERE.
Ursa Major was founded to revolutionize how America and its allies access and apply high-performance propulsion, from hypersonics to solid rocket motors, satellite maneuvering and launch. We design and deliver propulsion and defense systems that solve the most urgent and critical national security demands.
The Avionics Manager is a key role that will manage an integrated product team responsible for delivering avionics hardware, software, and mechanical solutions. The team is responsible for engine instrumentation, harnessing, controllers (board layout, design and enclosures), FPGAs, embedded and user-interface software. The team also maintains and operates the component-level HIL (Hardware in the Loop) testing facility, as well as component-level acceptance and qualification testing plans and procedures. The team also assists other areas of the business with expertise related to electronic hardware and internally developed embedded software.
As an Avionics Manager, you will lead a team of engineers designing, testing, assembling and integrating in-house developed avionics components for our launch vehicles and spacecraft. The team will also provide technical support and oversight for subcontracted AV hardware.
