Description

Overview
Performs duties as an AH-64E Armament/Electrical/Avionics systems repairer, inspects and performs aviation unit, intermediate and depot maintenance on the AH 64D Armament, Electrical and Avionics System to include the Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Pneudralics systems associated with AH-64E Armament / Missile fire control systems. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.
Will also be responsible for
1. Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft electrical, avionics, armament systems and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
2. Documentation of maintenance using forms and records in accordance with TAMMS-A (The Army Maintenance Management System - Aviation), DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, regulations, and company / local SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
3. Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On the Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer’s technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self-sufficient aircraft armament / electrical repair capability.
4. Carry out all assigned tasks from the immediate Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Qualification
Minimum High-School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance or Aeronautical Engineering is preferred.
US Military 15Y Course (DD Form 214) or UK Military NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) License / Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 6+ year’s aviation maintenance experience overall with at least 3 years working on AH-64E aircraft Avionics, Armament, Electrical, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) maintenance experience.
Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in utilizing standard tools, specialized equipment, test instruments, and aviation ground support equipment relevant to aircraft maintenance operations.
