AVIONICS TECHNICIAN – ROTARY/OEM EXPERIENCE (NO LICENSE REQUIRED, WIRE HARNESS FOCUS)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct Hire

JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a skilled Avionics Technician with five years’ experience in rotary-wing or OEM environments. No formal license is required. You will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles and conductors, while supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, and system integrity on avionics systems. This is a hands-on technical role with a path to permanent placement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rotary-wing avionics or OEM environment.
  • Strong experience with wire harness assembly, routing, modification, and installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with avionics systems, electrical systems, and use of relevant diagnostic tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in a Part 145 repair station or equivalent maintenance environment.
  • Formal training in avionics systems, wiring standards, or NDI/NDT methods.
  • Lean maintenance or continuous improvement experience.
  • Familiarity with composite or structural component integration in rotorcraft.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, harnesses, and conductors in rotary-wing aircraft or OEM avionics systems with precision and according to technical schematics.
  • Perform detailed avionics system troubleshooting, testing, repair, and functional inspections in compliance with technical manuals, OEM standards, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance Planning teams to resolve issues, document all work accurately, and support continuous operational readiness.
