JOB SUMMARY

The AVL Tech with an Audio Emphasis is responsible for empowering volunteers and maintaining high-quality audio across all campuses. This role will support impactful weekend services and events by ensuring reliable and consistent audio infrastructure. Additionally, the AVL Tech will assist with equipment maintenance, volunteer development, and collaborate with other departments to create distraction-free worship experiences.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Audio Expertise:

  • 4+ years of experience mixing audio with proficiency in live sound or studio environments.
  • Proficient in DiGiCo audio consoles and Waves SoundGrid.
  • Proficient with Dante and MADI protocols.
  • Proficiency in EQing and tuning for vocals and instruments.
  • Experience in multi-track recording and post-audio editing.
  • Working knowledge of BSS systems.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Ability to coordinate and deploy RF systems.
  • Proficiency in networking concepts is a plus

TIME REQUIREMENTS

  • 40-50 hours / week with flexibility depending on events.
  • Basic schedule:
  • Sunday: 5:30AM – 1:30PM
  • Monday – Thursday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Wednesday may shift to 1:00PM – 9:00PM for high school service support)
  • Friday-Saturday: Off
  • Required to work Christmas, Easter, Encounter Conference, and Kids Camp

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team

  • Develop and empower audio volunteers to support services and events

. • Train and equip staff and volunteers to operate production equipment confidently

  • Manage the quality and skill development of Audio Dream Team members.
  • Work closely with the Worship Department, assisting with band needs and load-ins.
  • Attend department and collaboration meetings regularly.
  • Equipment
  • Maintain, integrate, and support AVL equipment across all Victory campuses.
  • Steward audio resources effectively across campuses

. • Troubleshoot AVL issues, sometimes in high stress situations.

  • Assist in stage builds
  • Oversee stage patching assignments, monitors, and FOH show files

. • Install and maintain equipment across campuses, including for new campus launches. • Oversee podcast recordings and manage delivery logistics.

Other

  • Ensure distraction-free, high-quality weekend experiences.
  • Commit to continuous improvement in technical and ministry knowledge.
  • Rotate to all Victory campuses as part of a support schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and technical goals.
