BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for serving in the capacity of Deputy Department Head reporting to the Director of Loan Administration. To provide managerial oversight of daily operations of Loan Administration/Collections in a support role focusing on mastering Spencer’s core loan system, developing efficiencies through automation and ensuring a high level of customer service and employee oversight.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
College Graduate or equivalent related business experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a manager in a servicing environment
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills required.
Proficiency with various software programs, including Word and Excel spreadsheet applications.
Salary Range: $78,468-$124,007 annually

Responsibilities

The primary individual responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for providing support to the Director of Loan Administration as to managing the day-to-day functions and activities of the Loan Administration staff.
  • Responsible for Spencer’s core loan system and creating new processing efficiencies and automation.
  • Responsible for to ensuring the loan portfolio is administered in accordance with bank regulations and the bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for managing and evaluating the Loan Administration employees.
  • Provides customer support as it may relate to inquiries, investor monitoring, account maintenance and portfolio review.
  • Responsible for preparing administrative reports as well as reconciliations as necessary.
  • Review the daily posting/transactional activity to the servicing system including new loan setups, loan payments, payoffs, and general system maintenance in accordance with servicing contracts, agreements and state/federal regulations.
  • Ensure that adjustable-rate mortgage loans are adjusted in accordance loan documents.
  • Monitor post-closing activities and customer adherence to pertinent loan documents and agreements.
  • Maintain communication with AVP of Collections in order to ensure that collection activities limit risk and maximize recoveries.
  • Responsible for communicating with external vendors towards resolving outstanding servicing issues.
  • Ability to interact with other Lending areas regarding operational functions.
