Description:

KEY RESULT AREAS:

1.Collaborate with business units to develop a comprehensive business development strategy that is aligned with Company objectives, market trends, which drives growth and partnership opportunities.
2.Proactively analyse current and adjacent markets, leading to insights on key players, trends, and opportunities in the marketplace. This involves identifying and targeting potential partnerships, alliances, and new business opportunities to expand the Company’s reach and diverse revenue streams.
3.Evaluate strategic opportunities and make recommendations to leadership team concerning tactical plans/strategies to implement new business activities; translate the recommendation(s) into actions. Originate commercial business opportunities, build and maintain a robust pipeline of deal activities.
4.Perform market research to establish best practices and methodologies for approaching commercial transactions for EKFC while also leading relevant financial analysis and modelling.
5.Effectively manage timelines, due diligence and integration planning cross functionally with various corporate functions and business units and effectively collaborate with internal/external teams to establish a transparent and efficient business development process.
6.Manage strategic customers in an innovative manner to ensure transactions are completed within internal and external deadlines/budgets/targets. Establish specific milestones and associated detailed plans to ensure the long-term strategic plan are achieved.
7.Effectively project manage any commercial business growth efforts to ensure that all fundamental decisions that determine financial success are made and delivered in a timely manner and under consideration of all relevant factors.
8.Serve as a coach and trusted resource in commercial business developments that exhibits the expertise, business knowledge, financial sophistication, and entrepreneurial drive to add significant value.
9.Ensure business unit(s) are operated to meet optimum asset utilisation using proactive planning skills and process tracking to maximise overall operations efficiency.
10.Drive significant improvement in cost by streamlining the organisation, simplifying the business and increasing efficiency of overhead spending.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor*s degree in business, Finance, Economics or Mathematics (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the food and beverage industry
Strong track record of success in driving and diversifying revenue growth, forming strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence

SKILLS:

Entrepreneurial spirit with a start-up mentality
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams to achieve business objectives
Must have a demonstrated ability to work with executives and be comfortable working in an unstructured environment
Must have a comprehensive understanding of and proven financial, valuation and analytical skills
Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment
Proven customer management record
Superior writing, communication and presentation skills are required
Demonstrated ability to build credibility quickly in an honest & straightforward approach
Proven ability to maintain integrity in a fast paced and challenging environmen

Responsibilities:

To drive strategic commercial initiatives to expand EKFCs market presence, cultivate key relationships, and foster new business opportunities to propel the Companys growth and success in the industry.
The incumbent will project manage, lead key strategic initiatives and business projects including but not limited to:
Development of market intelligence and analysis of the competitive landscape
Business analysis of current markets and potential new markets
Risk assessment identification
Ability to effectively lead and manage any new F&B/Event/Food Services project(s), from inception to execution as well as handle post-execution relationship management.
In addition to these accountabilities, the incumbent will support key cross-functional projects that have been identified as critical to advancing the long-term business and operational strategy of EKFC.
