JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The AVP of Business Analytics & Data Science is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the continued success of data-driven initiatives across HRG. This role leads both business analytics and advanced analytics functions, providing strategic direction and executional leadership across all HR functional areas. The AVP will be instrumental in developing and implementing scalable, impactful data science solutions aligned to HRG’s priorities. This role is accountable for setting the strategic direction for data-driven decision-making, aligning analytics with business goals, and enabling measurable business impact through advanced analytics, AI/ML, and operational insights.

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for both business analytics and advanced analytics functions within HR.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and scalable insights to support business operations and growth.
  • Prioritize high-impact use cases based on ROI and organizational value.
  • Translate business priorities into data-driven solutions and performance metrics.
  • Partner with senior leadership to influence decision-making through insights.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data science solutions to address key HR challenges and opportunities.
  • Enable ongoing forecasting and predictive modeling capabilities.
  • Drive demand-supply analytics to optimize workforce planning.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements through data analysis.
  • Oversee retention studies to understand and mitigate employee turnover.
  • Explore and implement AI opportunities, such as virtual agents and job recommender systems.
  • Lead a team of data scientists and analysts, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Develop and execute a data science roadmap aligned with HRG’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and analytical tools.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends and insights.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all HR data sources.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science and AI.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate data science tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science or analytics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in HR analytics is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data science solutions.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data science or related fields are a plus.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
