SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- 8+ years in FP&A, financial reporting, or related roles, including 3+ years in leadership.
- Proven experience in managing Shared Services financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
- Expertise in ROI analysis, investment tracking, financial modelling, and exceptional Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of preparing executive-level presentations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, experienced in managing cross-functional teams, building global relationships, and handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to support the financial planning, reporting, and analysis for our Shared Services function. This critical role will be responsible for month-end close reporting, budgeting, forecasting, ROI and investment tracking, and preparation of executive-level presentations for the Shared Services Leadership team. The AVP will work closely with the accounting department and other business units to ensure financial alignment, as well as provide oversight and guidance to the Shared Services FP&A team based in Costa Rica. This position requires a strong understanding of financial consolidation, strategic decision-making, and the ability to drive performance across shared services operations.
- Shared Services Expense Consolidation and Month-End Close Reporting: Lead and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely consolidation of Shared Services expenses, performing variance analysis to identify improvement areas.
- Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of financial reports for Shared Services, analyzing performance to provide actionable insights for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for Shared Services, coordinating with cross-functional teams to align on financial goals and develop supporting financial models.
- Shared Services ROI and Investments Tracking: Establish KPIs and track the financial impact of Shared Services investments, developing business cases and ensuring proper reporting of investment outcomes.
- Executive Leadership Team Deck Preparation: Prepare comprehensive financial presentations for the Shared Services Executive Leadership Team, summarizing financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Leadership of Shared Services FP&A Team in Costa Rica: Lead the Shared Services FP&A team in Costa Rica, providing guidance and fostering communication and collaboration with the global finance organization.
