Description Position Summary: This position has responsibility for interviewing consumer and small business loan applicants, underwriting commercial loan requests, preparing written material for loan approvals to appropriate lending committees, and servicing all loans originated and assigned. Proper servicing to include is not limited to, maintaining proper past due percentages, technical exception percentages, and achieving assigned loan growth goals when applicable. Additionally, this position will actively seek additional consumer and small business loan opportunities through calling efforts and other business development means. Major Duties & Accountabilities: Takes part in and embraces the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Interviews and works with consumer and small business loan applicants to originate consumer and commercial loans that are profitable, are within the bank’s defined market area, meet bank established desired loan types, and that are policy conforming. Well versed in all types of financial underwriting and commercial loan collateral types and perfection. Will have the ability to service and underwrite commercial loans to include loans and loan relationships that up to $1MM. Actively seeks additional commercial loan business through calling efforts and other business development means. Effectively services all assigned loans within portfolio up to $25MM. Works to maintain established goals related to lender performance for assigned and serviced portfolio to include, but not limited to, past due percentages, technical exception percentages, and assigned portfolio growth levels when applicable. Attends and participates in all Lending Staff meetings. Attends Senior Loan Committee and Directors’ Loan Committee as needed to present loans. Successfully participates in loan growth goals as established by manager. Is active in local community functions and groups appropriate and/or as directed by manager. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Required: 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 4 years banking OR bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area. Preferred: Previous consumer lending experience. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area.
