As the Associate Vice President, Human Resources - Global & Emerging Capabilities, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a forward-looking people strategy that supports the development and scalability of emerging HR capabilities across the enterprise. This strategic position partners closely with HR, as well as global business and functional leaders, to cultivate an agile, innovation-driven workforce in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and new business models. You will lead the integration and adoption of AI and other emerging technologies within Human Resources, driving operational excellence and future-readiness. As a key member of the HR leadership team, you will help define the future direction of the HR function and its impact on enterprise growth.

TYPICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Education: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources (HR), business or related field. Graduate degree in HR, business or related field preferred.
Experience: Typically, ten or more years of HR experience with preference for Global HR and technology experience. Other HR Center of Expertise and large project experience preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of high level, complex strategy development and execution. Proven strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and change management. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, global workforce development, policy administration, technical aptitude, and navigating organization dynamics. Able to lead different program disciplines. Excellent relationship building and communication skills. Strong project management, influencing and organization skills.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and execute the company’s global human resources strategy in alignment with domestic HR initiatives and overarching business objectives, mission, and vision.
  • Oversee a portfolio of HR initiatives, including business case development, transformation planning, and implementation of core HR capabilities. Collaborate cross-functionally with global business leaders, legal, finance, technology, and external partners to seamlessly integrate HR functions into the global expansion plan.
  • Lead cross-functional HR teams to deliver integrated solutions across HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to drive consistency, innovation and excellence in HR practices for global operations.
  • Establish governance frameworks and operational standards to ensure consistency.
  • Lead change management efforts to support successful implementation of HR practices.
  • Ensure seamless delivery and integration of global HR systems, third party services and integration points by partnering across business and functional areas.
  • Enhance the company’s visibility and employer brand in international markets to support talent acquisition, retention, and associate engagement.
  • Provide regular updates to the executive leadership team on project status, risks, and mitigation plans. Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all matters related to global expansion.
  • Understand emerging technologies landscape across the enterprise and collaborate with partners to navigate people impacts of emerging technology policies, workforce implications and change management strategies.
  • Provide strategic guidance to improve organizational agility, change readiness, and operational excellence.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform the development and delivery of AI capabilities within HR.
  • Partner across HR COEs to scale innovative solutions, including AI and emerging technologies, to HR service delivery and automate key HR processes.
  • May lead team members through associate life cycle, including performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organization planning, day-to-day management, hiring and placement and disciplinary actions for direct and possibly indirect reports.
    May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
    Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources. May lead a team of HR professionals.
