Position Summary: Originates first mortgage loans, promotes the financial institution and its lending services to the real estate community. Help process loan applications for approval or denial within assigned lending authority. Provide input on the ALCO committee, Loan Committee, and other areas as needed. Duties: Process loan applications (Consumer and Real Estate) Call on current and new customers to generate new business within trade area Screens loan requests based on financial institution policies and on types of loans offered by the institution Order appraisals, credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information needed on loan applicants Increase the deposit base of the branch within the parameters of authority Coordinate and assist with the closing of loans Assist with collections on past due loans for your branch All other job duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications Has the ability to achieve profit, growth and customer service objectives within bank policy guidelines Preferred Qualifications Strong working knowledge of lending policies, procedures and documentation requirements Previous mortgage, banking or title experience Skills Good sales and computer skills and a proven ability to develop business are necessary Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment Must demonstrate management, communication, and interpersonal skills Work Environment Primarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours.
