Description Position Summary: Responsible for managing a loan portfolio and supporting a producing officer by interviewing loan applicants, underwriting loan requests, and preparing written material for loan approvals to appropriate lending committees. Service all loans assigned and/or originated through servicing efforts. Commercial, agricultural and consumer loans can be originated/serviced. Proper servicing includes, but not limited to, maintaining proper past due percentages and technical exception percentages. Major Duties & Accountabilities: Takes part in and embraces the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Effectively services all assigned loans within portfolio. Works with senior loan officer to originate/service loans that are profitable, are within the bank’s defined market area, meet bank established desired loan types, and that are policy conforming. Structures, underwrites, and service loans as directed by Manager and Sr. Lender. Prepares loan packets and attends Senior Loan Committee and Directors’ Loan Committee as needed to present loans and annual reviews. May prepare government guarantee packages and services guarantee for life of loan. Must be well versed in all types of financial underwriting and agricultural/commercial/consumer loan collateral types and perfection. Will have the ability to service and underwrite agricultural/commercial/consumer loans. Review loan documents for closings and close loans. Works to maintain established team goals related to lender performance for assigned and serviced portfolio to include, but not limited to, charge off percentages, past due percentages, technical exception percentages, and assigned portfolio growth levels when applicable. Attends and participates in all Lending Staff meetings. Successfully participates in team loan growth goals as established by senior lender. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 4 years previous credit analysis, portfolio management or lending experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 5 years previous credit analysis, portfolio management or lending experience.
