JOB DESCRIPTION

HII Mission Technologies is hiring an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure to support our evolving product ecosystem. You’ll work with modern technologies in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, contributing to solutions that drive real impact. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering including operations, management, de-sign, and development of cloud-based applications and capabilities with a Bache-lors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and application development.
  • Hands-on experience with the Linux command line, including system navigation, file manipulation, and shell scripting.
  • Must have experience automating cloud configuration using tooling such as Ter-raform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with existing platform architects on long term and strategic archi-tectural changes to the platform.Have a strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.
  • Able to work autonomously actively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Position requires a Comp IAT Security+ certification
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending 1-2 days per pay period in Odenton, MD and must have flexibilty to accommodate any changes in schedule or onsite needs.
  • Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance.

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • Designing, building, and managing infrastructure configured according to the DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (DoD CC SRG).

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for engineering, architecting, and deploying cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Leads the creation of strategic implementation plans for enterprise information systems.
  • Designs and implements infrastructure as code to build secure cloud environments and security enclaves.
  • Provide engineering support for integrating new applications into cloud environ-ments and transitioning existing applications into virtualized cloud environments.Virtualization of legacy systems to use infrastructure services such as Physical to Virtual (P2V) or Virtual to Virtual (V2V) workload conversions.
  • Support customer use of service Application Program Interfaces (API), Command Line Interfaces (CLI) and infrastructure service management consoles.Other duties as assigned.
