Description

Piper Companies is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer for an established tech organization. This is a full-time/direct hire opportunity. This role is 100% REMOTE (must be based in the United States).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS); familiarity with GCP or Azure is a plus.
  • AWS certifications are required
  • Background in software development and/or systems administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, including authentication, authorization, and group management.
  • Experience in consulting or working across multiple client environments is highly desirable.
  • Background in higher education or EdTech is a bonus but not required.

Compensation:

  • Annual Salary: $110,00 - $160,000 (depending on years of experience)

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to address cloud infrastructure needs.
  • Provision and manage SaaS environments, including account setup and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Support demo and proof-of-concept environments to showcase cloud capabilities.
  • Assist in infrastructure automation using AWS-native tools, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for cloud-based development tasks, such as debugging AWS Lambda functions.
  • Engage in multiple client projects, offering tailored cloud solutions and technical guidance.
