Description
SAIC is seeking a, Fully Remote, AWS Cloud Engineer to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program to provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, and management of AWS cloud services and solutions, with a specific focus on Department of Defense (DoD) environments. NOTE: This position is Fully Remote / Work from Home. JOB DESCRIPTION: Develop automation scripts using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Python and implement configuration management solutions using tools like AWS OpsWorks and Puppet. Lead the implementation of AWS solutions in DoD environments, focusing on automation, configuration, and integration while developing and maintaining compliant scripts and tools. Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust AWS-based solutions tailored to DoD requirements, ensuring adherence to DoD standards and regulations, and provide technical expertise on AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation, and security services. Ensure AWS solutions meet DoD security and compliance requirements by implementing and managing security measures, policies, and controls using AWS native security services such as IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Experience working with AWS cloud solutions, preferably in DoD environments. Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including design, implementation, and management, with a focus on DoD environments. Strong scripting and automation skills using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Python, with an emphasis on meeting DoD standards. Practical knowledge of Agile and ITIL frameworks in a DoD context. Experience with SaaS delivery and REST API integration within DoD projects. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative solutions in DoD settings. Familiarity with DoD environments, standards, and regulatory requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders within the DoD. REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Must have an active Secret Clearance. Must have current US Citizenship.
