JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Subject Matter Expert with in-depth technical expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), cloud architecture, and enterprise solutioning. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, integration with enterprise systems, and governance. This role requires practical, real-world experience—not just training certifications—and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.

• Ability to create data visualizations, charts, and reports using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services with an active AWS Cloud Associate or Professional certification.
• Proven ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures to develop AWS-centric system solutions in measurable terms for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Strong understanding of industry trends, business information systems, Agile development practices, test-driven development, continuous integration, and modern AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable AWS cloud business applications or hands-on experience with infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Ability to integrate AWS cloud services with other SaaS or on-premises technologies from vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
• Experience managing IT compliance and risk requirements (e.g., SOX, PCI) in AWS cloud environments.
• Automating complex tasks on AWS using scripting or automation tools (e.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise-wide information systems architecture, including servers, storage, virtualization, high availability, performance management, and monitoring of web-scale systems.

TASKS MAY INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Advise and assist IT functional groups to define and implement solutions aligned with a Cloud-based Microservices/Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for infrastructure or business applications.
• Create architecture deliverables describing AWS cloud solutions with sufficient detail for cost estimation, technology components, vendor components, and design parameters for handoff to implementation teams.
• Prepare solution descriptions, technical approach documentation, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
• Lead cultural change initiatives for cloud adoption and actively participate in infrastructure solution roadmap development related to public cloud offerings.
• Develop and communicate AWS cloud policies, procedures, standards, design patterns, and reference architectures for repeatable solutions.
• Identify training needs for cloud solution standards, develop awareness materials, and deliver training sessions.
• Interface with vendors to ensure adherence to standard architectures for projects within a specific technology domain.
• Provide technical direction and leadership to teams analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business information systems.
• Ensure alignment of infrastructure and application solution designs with enterprise architecture, standards, policies, processes, and industry best practices.
• Research and analyze technology industry trends related to cloud technologies to determine potential impacts on the IT enterprise and make strategic recommendations.
• Ensure architecture governance structures are applied to defined solution areas in alignment with business and IT strategies.
• Manage the publication and updates of AWS cloud solution standards and oversee projects for their propagation across IT.
• Provide leadership and technical assistance as an IT SWAT team member for problem-solving in system design, development, implementation, and maintenance activities.
