Description Senior Maintenance Technician (PLC / Controls / Electrical) – AWS Night Shift (KK) East Peoria, IL $40–$45/hr. (Including Shift Differential, Based on Experience) + Overtime AWS Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-Hour Shifts) Full-Time Advanced Electrical & Controls Maintenance Are you the technician others call when the PLC fault won't clear, the drive won't communicate, or the control system is causing production downtime? We're seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician with strong experience in PLCs, industrial controls, and electrical systems to support critical manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled troubleshooter who enjoys diagnosing complex equipment issues, working with automation systems, and keeping production running at peak performance. What You'll Be Doing Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems Diagnose and repair electrical, controls, and automation-related failures Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and industrial networks Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, drives, and electrical distribution systems Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical drawings Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated equipment Support equipment upgrades, control system improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives Respond to equipment breakdowns and quickly restore production Document repairs and maintenance activities in the CMMS system Requirements What You Need 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience Strong PLC troubleshooting experience Advanced electrical and controls knowledge Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits Experience with VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and automation equipment Manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance background Strong understanding of LOTO and industrial safety practices Preferred Experience Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms HMI troubleshooting and programming exposure Industrial networking and communications Robotics and automation systems Leadership or senior-level maintenance experience
