  * Opens and closes galleries and turns on/off electronic media * Provides assistance for installations and de‐installations using hand tools, power tools, and moderate physical labor * Prepares and paints gallery walls and pedestals * Handles art with care * Follows selling procedures to complete gallery sales * Assists with special events * Reports damage or loss to the Museum Collections Manager * Alerts appropriate authorities regarding safety and security, including emergency safety and fire situations, and follows approved emergency procedures * Performs miscellaneous duties as requested * Completes accurate time sheet and submits for

approval in a timely manner  Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)  * Demonstrated record of dependability and conscientiousness * Attention to visual detail and confidence with hands-on tasks * Strong interpersonal communication skills * Has completed ART 102, 103 and/or 104 Physical and Environmental Factors: This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., and operating hand tools to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, chemicals, vibrations, proximity hazards, and heights or cramped quarters, as well as rare exposure to respiratory factors and wet or humid conditions indoors to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
