Responsibilities
  • Patient Consultation & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments using Ayurvedic diagnostic methods such as pulse diagnosis, tongue analysis, and patient history. Identify doshic imbalances and recommend personalized treatment plans including Panchakarma, Rasayana, herbal medicines, diet, and lifestyle changes.
  • Therapy Prescription & Oversight: Prescribe appropriate Ayurvedic therapies and supervise their implementation by therapists. Ensure that treatments such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and Panchakarma are administered safely and in accordance with classical texts and modern safety standards.
  • Treatment Planning & Monitoring: Design short- and long-term treatment protocols tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor patient progress regularly, revise treatment plans as necessary and maintain detailed patient records.
  • Collaboration & Referral: Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals including allopathic and alternative medicine doctors, physiotherapists, and wellness coaches to provide integrative care. Refer patients to other departments if necessary.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in compliance with DHA standards and clinic policies. Ensure consent forms, prescriptions, and case documentation are complete and up to date.
  • Education & Wellness Guidance: Educate patients on Ayurvedic principles, daily routines (Dinacharya), seasonal regimens (Ritucharya), and other preventive measures. Promote awareness of Ayurveda within the clinic and through wellness events.
  • Inventory & Product Oversight: Guide the selection and usage of Ayurvedic medicines, herbs, and oils. Ensure inventory is adequate, and support quality control and compliance with procurement guidelines.
  • Team Training & Supervision: Mentor and guide Ayurveda therapists and assistant therapists. Conduct training on new therapy protocols, safety measures, and patient care standards.
  • Infection Control & Safety: Ensure infection control standards are followed during all patient interactions and therapy procedures. Promote safe clinical practices and respond to emergencies appropriately.
  • Customer Service & Ethics: Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients through compassionate, respectful, and confidential care. Uphold high ethical standards and act in the best interest of the patient at all times.
