The job will entail delivering products to our customers mainly in the downtown core. This isn’t for everyone, as it entails some tight streets, the requirement to move product into our customers’ locations such as hospitals, schools, office towers. You will be an employee – No Contractors please Responsibilities: * Operate a truck in a safe and professional manner at all times in GTA especially should be versatile to drive in DOWNTOWN TORONTO * Deliver products to customers on time, while providing complete customer service * Transfer materials and items from truck to dock area or other designated area by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, or manual pallet jack * Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, returns, etc. * Maintain logs daily and complies with all other Provincial Transportation procedures/regulations * Conduct Pre-trip and Post-trip truck inspections of tractor and trailer units, in compliance with provincial regulations * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Perform other duties and responsibilities as required *Shift schedule: Mon-Fri 6 am - 2:30 pm *Pay rate: $27/hr-$29/hr *Overtime will be required Requirements: * Must hold valid Class AZ driver's license and provide driver's abstract * High School diploma or equivalent * Preferably 3 years’ experience in commercial transportation or a graduate of an accredited truck driving school * Must be able to load and unload products, often requiring manual handling and the use of equipment like pallet jacks. * Possess knowledge of all applicable provincial transportation regulations * Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests (GPS) and invoices * Plan and organize effectively; clear communication is a must * Must be customer service orientated and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team * Problem solver with the ability to multi-task using judgement and decision making skills Bunzl Canada Inc.
