JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred; experience with freight transportation is a plus.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving or related fields, demonstrating a strong understanding of road safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with automotive repair principles is advantageous for maintaining vehicle performance.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely; certification may be required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving and handling freight.
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading/unloading tasks.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability.
