JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to handle various types of freight. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.
  • Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous; training may be provided if necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklift equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading tasks.
