Description

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Ensure that the invoice corresponds with packing slip for each pick-up and delivery.
  • Load and unload products to be delivered or pick up.
  • Pick-up and deliver parts and other equipment for customers, wholesale customers and

suppliers.

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any problems immediately.
  • Inspect the delivery vehicle regularly (pre and post trip)
  • Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel cost, mileage, and delivery location.
  • Complete daily delivery log and submit mileage reports.
  • Deliver items by the required delivery date and time.
  • Collect payment and get signatures as proof of delivery if necessary.
  • Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transporting and delivery.
  • Report to management any damages incur while transporting product to customer.
  • Report to management immediately any damage product delivers to customer.
  • Complying with company and government regulations and rules.
  • Securing cargo and safely handling hazardous materials, as required
  • Transport hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Comply with all company and government regulations when delivering hazardous goods.
  • Communicating with dispatchers, shippers, receiver, and other drivers using onboard

radios, handset, mobile device, computer, or any other recommended software.

  • Paying for goods and receiving payments from clients
  • Perform emergency repairs like patching tires when needed.
  • Recommend and inform management when service is due on vehicle.
  • Ensure that vehicle is service when needed.
  • Must report any issues, accident, or infractions immediately to management.
  • Pick up returns from customer if and when needed.
  • Assist shipper, receiver, and other personnel with further warehousing tasks as necessary.
  • Participate in warehouse cleaning, sweeping, and general maintenance duties.
  • Assist warehouse team with organizing inventory, moving products, and maintaining

cleanliness in the facility

  • Any other tasks or duties may be assigned you by the Company from time to time as deem

necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid AZ, DZ, or CZ license (air brake endorsement required).
  • Must be able to drive standard (manual) transmission.
  • Be able to drive in all-weather conditions
  • Experience driving delivery vehicles (single straight-body trucks, vans, cube trucks, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain 26 - 56 ft. truck
  • General Knowledge of GTA and surrounding areas
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
  • A valid forklift License
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Proven experience transporting heavy equipment and furniture.
  • Knowledge of equipment tie-down procedures, CVOR compliance, and transport safety

standards.

  • Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR preferred.
  • Availability for early morning, evening, or weekend deliveries as needed

Pay: $25.00 per hour
