AZ/DZ DRIVER- LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated AZ/DZ Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for the pickup, loading, transportation, delivery, and unloading of materials at various locations throughout the GTA. Our drivers play a crucial role in maintaining strong working relationships with Civil Foremen, Supervisors, Project Coordinators, and the Civil Construction Manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five years of experience driving heavy commercial vehicles
• Valid Ontario AZ or DZ Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
• A letter of experience from current insurer
• Proficient in operating a manual transmission
• Physically fit, capable of lifting 50 pounds or more, and comfortable standing, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

• Operate and drive primarily dump trucks to transport materials to various job sites across the GTA
• Maintain constant communication with Civil Foremen and Supervisors to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including monitoring equipment condition and reporting any incidents
• Adhere to all laws and regulations as per the Highway Traffic Act and Ministry of Transportation
• Perform various labor-intensive duties as required
