POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on flatbed and dry van trailer while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be comfortable with both city and highway driving, regular tight turns, and backup into small docks
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Follow company rules and regulations in regard to safety and hours of service
  • Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
  • Making deliveries in a safe and timely manner
  • Strapping of loads in all weather conditions
  • Constant communication with the customer
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
