Job Description L1 Support Engineer Provides first-line operational support across the OSDU platform applications and services, focusing on triage, incident handling, and resolving or escalating issues across a microservices-based environment. Core skills • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and how distributed services interact • Familiarity with authentication and authorisation concepts (OAuth 2.0, tokens, identity flows) • Python, for scripting, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting • A developer background or hands-on coding exposure, which helps with investigating issues at a deeper level Responsibilities • Act as first point of contact for incidents and support requests • Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues where possible, escalating to L2/L3 when needed • Monitor platform health and respond to alerts • Document issues, resolutions, and known workarounds • Work as part of a distributed offshore support team Nice to have • Familiarity with the OSDU data platform and energy/subsurface domain • Experience with logging and observability tooling (e.g. Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) • Exposure to API troubleshooting (REST, Postman, status code analysis) • Understanding of cloud platforms, ideally Azure Qualifications L1 Support Engineer Additional Information At our organization, we are committed to fighting against all forms of discrimination.
