WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud-focused role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Entra ID, Networking, Storage, and Security.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong preference for Terraform (Bicep also considered).
• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as VNETs, VPNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and DNS.
• Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Experience in modernising Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms to improve efficiency and performance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator) and AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
• Experience managing and optimizing Azure cost structures.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with additional monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our exceptional Infrastructure team, playing a critical role in delivering and supporting our enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure services. You will provide technical expertise, ensuring our cloud platforms are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective. Working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to support the business cloud-based applications and services.
This role requires on-call availability.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related infrastructure and service issues.
• Contribute to the design, deployment, and management of Azure-based cloud solutions.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
• Utilize Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other security tools to assess and enhance the security posture of the environment.
• Implement and maintain resiliency strategies to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Manage Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) requirements.
• Automate cloud infrastructure processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform preferred, Bicep also considered) and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-based applications.
• Support and train other team members
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide technical support for cloud environments.
