AZURE DATA ENGINEER

Hybrid contract opportunity in Toronto’s insurance industry for a seasoned Azure data engineering expert. This strategic role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, leveraging Azure Data Factory and Databricks, and leading agile development processes in a modern cloud environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines and end-to-end solutions using Microsoft Azure data and analytics services.
• Lead agile development processes including sprint planning, task assignments, code reviews, and demos.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse structures and manage both relational and non-relational databases.
• Expose data through visualization platforms such as Power BI and Azure API apps.
• Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing across departments.
• Recommend architectural improvements to enhance the scalability, performance, and resilience of data platforms.
