OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and engineering, with expertise in various technologies and tools that facilitate data processing and analysis. This role is essential for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytics initiatives across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, Java, Python, or Bash (Unix shell) for scripting tasks.
  • Proficiency is developing SSIS packages for ETL
  • Strong SQL programming skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex analysis on large datasets.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and experience working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Looker for visualizing data insights effectively.
  • Understanding of model training techniques and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to drive projects forward independently.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Walnut, CA 9178

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines/ SSIS Packages, using ETL processes to support data integration from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide solutions that enhance their analytical capabilities.
  • Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS or Azure Data Lake for storage and processing of big data.
  • Develop database designs that optimize performance while ensuring data integrity across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other databases.
  • Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Create RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration between different systems and applications.
  • Conduct model training for machine learning applications using Python or other relevant programming languages.
  • Maintain documentation of data architecture, processes, and workflows to ensure clarity and consistency within the team.
  • Participate in Agile development practices to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.
