Description:
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
· To proactively build, test and maintain software applications that support NHS services ensuring that they meet clinical and operational needs and are in line with all relevant legislative and procedural regulations.
· To proactively design and development new functionalities of existing and new software offerings keeping user feedback and legislative and procedural regulations at the forefront of any developments. Specifically including:
- Azure Cloud Management: Deploying, configuring and managing Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, security, etc).
- CI/CD Pipelines: Implementing and maintaining continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitoring & Logging: Setting up monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics) to track system performance and detect issues.
- Security & Compliance: Ensuring cloud security best practices, managing role-based access control (RBAC) and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., NHS Digital, GDPR).
- Cost Optimisation: Monitoring and optimising Azure costs while maintaining performance.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Investigating cloud infrastructure issues, working with development teams to resolve incidents and improving system reliability.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Designing and implementing backup and failover strategies to ensure high availability.
· To collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth integration of software into existing software used with primary and secondary care.
· To both contribute and encourage team contribution towards service improvement and achieving and maintaining CQC standards.
· To represent the organisation positively at all times in communication and meetings with professional and external agencies.
· To address issues of quality, risk assess own performance and take accountability for own actions and those of their team either directly or under supervision.
· To work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients’ needs as required.
· To effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
Responsibilities:
Nova Healthcare Solutions Ltd (NovaHS) is a CQC registered organisation that provides remote support to primary healthcare services through workflow management and medicines optimisation.
The Azure DevOps Engineer role is dedicated to managing and optimising an Azure Cloud infrastructure for Ai-powered applications. Duties involve deploying, maintaining and monitoring Azure resources whilst ensuring scalability, security and performance. The post holder will work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth cloud operations.
The role is fully remote working with the occasional requirement to meet in an office environment.
