We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Engineer to join our team on a contract basis for a period of 3 to 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure infrastructure and cloud migration, as well as hands-on experience with the migration process. This role is critical as we move forward with the migration of our systems to Azure following an Azure Migration Assessment engagement with Microsoft.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure migration strategies and tools.
• Experience working in large-scale cloud migration projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and cost optimization best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in an Azure environment.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation in Azure (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring tools and cloud analytics.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers or team members.

• Lead and assist in the successful migration of systems, data, and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Azure best practices and strategies are followed.
• Provide expertise on cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security throughout the migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges associated with Azure environments.
• Manage Azure resources and services post-migration, ensuring proper configuration and optimization.
• Monitor and maintain the performance, reliability, and security of Azure environments.
• Document and report on the progress of the migration, including challenges and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that the Azure environment is compliant with organizational policies and industry standards.
